Arun Lakhani is the Chairman and Managing Director of Vishvaraj Infrastructure Limited., a company focused on developing Water and Highway projects. Mr. Arun Lakhani is also the Chairman of Maharashtra Badminton Association and is planning new initiatives to make infrastructure and coaching possible for budding badminton sportsmen from Maharashtra. In the past, he has also been the Managing Director of Marathi daily “Tarun Bharat” and President of Sai Mandir trust in Nagpur.
Mr. Arun Lakhani was born in the well known Lakhani family of Malkapur. They were involved in cotton ginning, pressing and oil mill. After his matriculation in 1975, he pursued BSc from VMV Amravati in 1979 and BSc Tech (Petrochem) in 1982. Mr. Arun Lakhani is a Master in Technology (Petrochem). He also has the distinction of having completed 11th Matriculation at the young age of 14.
He is passionate about water management and advocates that ‘Sewage’ is actually a great resource when treated and can be used extensively by industries thereby saving fresh water for people and agriculture. His company, Vishvaraj infrastructure Ltd. is developing largest PPP project of 200 MLD capacity with reuse of treated water as the basic objective.
Aprt from being a pioneer in developing and implementing PP projects, he also believes that for long term water PPP projects to succeed, the addition of a fourth P is essential;

Mr. Arun Lakhani has received many awards including Outstanding Contribution to Water at the World Water Leadership Congress and Awards 2016.
